General Manager – Destination Southern NSW Ltd

Destination Southern NSW Ltd is one of six Destination Networks (DNs) established across NSW in 2017 as a result of a review of Regional Tourism Organisations undertaken in 2015-2016 by the NSW Government. DNs are companies limited by guarantee with the primary responsibility for driving the growth of the visitor economy, in each respective region, to help achieve the NSW Government’s overnight visitor expenditure goal by 2030. Destination Southern NSW Ltd facilitates visitor economy growth at the local level, by representing and coordinating the region’s tourism industry.

The Destination Southern NSW Board is seeking a General Manager who will drive visitor growth, length of stay, and visitor expenditure to Southern NSW. You will:

  • Manage the strategic and financial management of Destination Southern NSW Ltd.
  • Oversee and manage the profile, development, and delivery of industry engagement, business and product development, education, and training programs and activities with key stakeholders within the region.
  • Establish and manage the operations of Destination Southern NSW Ltd and lead its day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and implement the Destination Management Plan and annual business plan.
  • Assist in the preparation of funding applications and manage delivery and reporting for successful funds granted.
  • Work in collaboration with Destination NSW on marketing and communications activities for the region’s ‘hero’ destinations, experiences, events, and festivals, and regional campaigns.
